In this one-hour webinar (online seminar), Danna Jennings, M.D., Clinical Research Director at the Institute for Neurodegenerative Disorders in New Haven, Connecticut, and Steve DeWitte, a Parkinson's clinical study participant, discussed what it takes to create a successful clinical study experience from the researcher and participant perspective.

Presenter Biographies

your alt text Danna Jennings, M.D., is Clinical Research Director at the Institute for Neurodegenerative Disorders. She has served as investigator on over 30 clinical trials aimed at the development of improvements in the diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative conditions, including Parkinson’s disease.  Dr. Jennings received her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University, obtained training in Neurology from Boston University and completed a movement disorders fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. She was a teaching faculty member in the department of neurology at Yale University prior to her position at the Institute for Neurodegenerative Disorders.

Steve DeWitte Steve D. DeWitte is a successful business executive with 30 years of experience in public relations, marketing, advertising, fundraising and event planning. Diagnosed with PD in March 2005, Mr. DeWitte is the founder of a Parkinson’s young onset support group in Connecticut. He is also a graduate of the Parkinson's Disease Foundation's inaugural Clinical Research Learning Institute in 2008 and a Parkinson's Action Network representative for 5th Congressional District of Connecticut.
