Welcome to PDtrials.org, the Advancing Parkinson's Therapies Campaign ("Campaign") Web Site. The Campaign was launched to accelerate the development of new treatments for Parkinson's disease by increasing public awareness of clinical trials. The Campaign is led by the following organizations: American Parkinson Disease Association, Parkinson's Action Network, Parkinson Alliance, Parkinson's Disease Foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, National Parkinson Foundation, and WE MOVE (each individually a "Participating Organization" and together the "Participating Organizations").

PDtrials.org contains information relating to various medical conditions and diseases including Parkinson's disease, the treatment of such conditions and diseases, and the availability of clinical research and trials for the purpose of accelerating the investigation and approval of new therapeutic treatments for such conditions and diseases (altogether “Medical Information”). The Medical Information on PDtrials.org together with all text, graphics, software, images and other information, products and services, and content, whether obtained from one or more Participating Organizations, government organizations, clinical trials or elsewhere, (such information, content, products and services altogether referred to as the "Content") is for informational purposes only. Much of the Content (e.g., information relating to available clinical trials) has been summarized by PDtrials.org in order to present you with a concise and easy to understand format. As such, the Content should not be relied upon as an exclusive source of information. For example, if you are interested in a particular clinical trial, after you read our summary you should contact the trial coordinator or trial sponsor for additional information. Please keep in mind that the Content is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. 4. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. PDTRIALS.ORG IS PROVIDED TO YOU AS A FREE INFORMATIONAL SERVICE. NEITHER PDTRIALS.ORG, THE CAMPAIGN, THE PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS, NOR ANY PARTY INVOLVED IN CREATING, PRODUCING, DELIVERING OR MAINTAINING PDTRIALS.ORG SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, DIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO ACCESS TO, USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE PDTRIALS.ORG OR ANY CONTENT OR SERVICES PROVIDED THERE THROUGH, OR ANY ERRORS OR OMISSIONS IN PDTRIALS.ORG'S CONTENT OR SERVICES, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT PDTRIALS.ORG, THE CAMPAIGN, ANY PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATION OR ANY PARTY INVOLVED IN CREATING, PRODUCING, DELIVERING OR MAINTAINING PDTRIALS.ORG IS ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES . THIS LIMITATION INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, PERSONAL INJURY, INCLUDING DEATH AS WELL AS DAMAGES TO YOUR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING DAMAGES THAT MAY BE CAUSED BY OR ARISE FROM A VIRUS THAT INFECTS YOUR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT.
5. Claims. Any claim arising in connection with your use of PDtrials.org or any Content (including, without limitation, any information, product, or service) must be brought within one (1) year of the date that the event giving rise to such claim occurred. Without prejudice to the Disclaimer of Warranties in Section 3 and the Limitation of Liability in Section 4, and at PDtrials.org's sole election, PDtrials.org may settle in full any claim brought by you arising out of or relating to any allegedly inaccurate or defective information, product, or service you received from or through PDtrials.org by (a) replacing that information, product, or service with accurate information or a non-defective product or service, (b) by refunding the amount, if any, actually paid by you for that information, product, or service, or (c) by paying you U.S. $250.
6. Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Campaign, each Participating Organization, and any other party involved in creating, producing, delivering or maintaining PDtrials.org and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, suppliers and third party partners from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from any violation by you of these Terms and Conditions of Use.
7. Privacy. We respect your privacy. Our collection, use and disclosure practices regarding your personally identifiable information and personal health information are set forth in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by this reference. Please take some time to review our Privacy Policy. Your assent to these Terms and Conditions of Use constitutes your assent to our Privacy Policy.
8. Links to and from PDtrials.org. Unless otherwise notified by us, you are free to link to PDtrials.org so long as it is clear that the linked Content belongs to PDtrials.org and that such Content is not your own. As a courtesy we ask that you provide us with written notice of the location of your link, the page you are linking to and that you disclaim any association between your website and PDtrials.org.In addition to links to PDtrials.org, our website may contain links or references to other websites maintained by third parties over whom we have no control. Such links are provided merely as a convenience. Neither the Campaign nor any of the Participating Organizations, nor any party involved in creating, producing, delivering or maintaining PDtrials.org makes any warranties or representations of any kind as to the accuracy, currency, timeliness or completeness of any information contained on third party websites or such website information collection and disclosure practices, and the Campaign, the Participating Organizations and any party involved in creating, producing, delivering or maintaining PDtrials.org shall have no liability for any damages or injuries of any kind arising from such third party website content information collection and disclosure practices. Inclusion of any third party link to or from our website does not imply an endorsement or recommendation by the Campaign or any of the Participating Organizations. 9. Submissions. You are encouraged to submit suggestions to us on ways to improve PDtrials.org. However, you agree that you will not send or transmit to us (including through the email addresses listed on the "Contact Us" link) any communication or content that infringes or violates any intellectual property rights or other rights of any party. Furthermore, if you submit any business information, idea, concept or invention to us, you agree such submission is non-confidential for all purposes and we shall have no obligation of any kind with respect to such information . Finally, you automatically grant and/or warrant that the owner of such content or intellectual property has expressly granted us a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, world-wide nonexclusive license to use, reproduce, create derivative works from, modify, publish, edit, translate, distribute, perform, and display the communication or content in any media or medium, or any form, format, or forum now known or hereafter developed. We may sublicense our rights through multiple tiers of sublicenses. The Campaign and the Participating Organizations shall be free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how or techniques contained in any such communication for any purpose whatsoever, including, but not limited to, developing, manufacturing, and marketing products. If you wish to keep any business information, ideas, concepts or inventions private or proprietary, do not submit them to PDtrials.org or any Participating Organization.
10. Trademarks. The names and logos of the Campaign and the Participating Organizations and any company or product names appearing on PDtrials.org, whether or not appearing in large print or with the trademark symbol, may be trademarks of the Campaign, a Participating Organization, or any of their affiliates, related companies, licensors, joint venture partners or other third parties. The use or misuse of these trademarks or any other materials, except as permitted herein, is expressly prohibited and may be in violation of copyright law, trademark law, the law of slander and libel, the law of privacy and publicity, and communications regulations and statutes.
11. Void Where Prohibited. PDtrials.org and its Content are intended to comply with the laws and regulations in the United States . Although the information on PDtrials.org is accessible to users outside of the United States , the information herein is intended for use only by residents of the United States . Other countries and jurisdictions may have laws, regulatory requirements and medical practices that differ from those in the United States . PDtrials.org may have links to other sites some of which are outside the United States . Those websites may have information that is appropriate only to that particular originating country.
12. Governing Laws. This Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement and your use of PDtrials.org shall be governed by the laws of the United States of America and the State of New York without regard to its conflicts of laws principles. Any legal action or proceeding related to this web site shall be brought exclusively in a federal or state court of competent jurisdiction sitting in New York , New York .
13. Updates. We may at any time revise these Terms and Conditions of Use by contacting you if you have provided us your email address and it is still on record and/or by posting such change to the Campaign website. You are bound by any such revisions, and you should therefore periodically visit this page to review the then current Terms and Conditions of Use to which you are bound.
14. Ownership and Assignment. This website, PDtrials.org, is owned by the Parkinson's Disease Foundation. The Parkinson's Disease Foundation and the other Participating Organizations lead the Advancing Parkinson's Therapies Campaign. The Parkinson's Disease Foundation may assign these Terms and Conditions of Use with or without notice to one or more Participating Organizations or to a third party acquirer of PDtrials.org.
15. Miscellaneous. If any provision of this Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement is held to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, then such provision shall be deemed severed without affecting the enforceability of all remaining provisions. Our failure to exercise any right or remedy available upon your breach of this Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement or the failure by us to demand the prompt performance of any obligation hereunder, shall not be deemed a waiver of (i) our rights or remedies, (ii) the requirement of punctual performance or (iii) any right or remedy in connection with a subsequent breach or default on your part. We reserve the right to alter or delete Content on PDtrials.org at any time at our discretion.
16. Complete Agreement. Except as expressly provided in a particular "legal notice" or end user software license agreement found on PDtrials.org, these Terms and Conditions of Use and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us with respect to the use of PDtrials.org and the Content hereon.
